"How do we find the courage to always be true to ourselves - even if we are unsure of who we are?"

Among all the books of Paulo Coelho, the 'Witch' is his most relevant book he wrote for our generation. It's a journey of self assessment, realization and imagination.

I find relevance of a book to a reader's life a significant aspect in building the relationship of the book with the reader. When a reader spoantaneously identifies himself with the words and infinite moments of the book, the magic emanates. It is words coming into life. That is exactly what I've experienced with the 'Witch'.

Coelho perfectly chose the style of narrative in telling the story of Athena. The reading experience is like belonging to one of the share-your-expereince circles or some sort. The characters sprung to life as they tell the story of a woman, even probing into passion, love, career and life.

Some lines from the book:

"No one can manipulate anyone else. In any relationship, both parties know what they're doing, even if one of them complains later on that they were used."

"We all have an unknown ability, which will probably remain unknown forever. And yet that ability can become our ally. SInce it's not possible to measure that ability or give it an economic value, it's never taken seriously, but Im speaking here to other human beings and I'm sure you understand what I mean, at least in theory."
